Teams submit applications. Eight teams are selected based upon the quality of their submitted applications.

Saturday, January 14, 2012

A kickoff is held at CHPC at which the teams will receive their supercomputers, training on how to minimally configure their systems, and general advice on how to program in a multi-processor environment.

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

The Competition will be held as part of the Salt Lake Valley Science and Engineering Fair at Rice-Eccles Stadium in the University of Utah (http://g.co/maps/mr3xk).

Following is the 2012 event day schedule:

9:00-9:45	Arrive, setup & wipe systems
9:45-10:00	Announce specifics of Hotseat Challenge
10:00-12:00	System Configuration Challenge
12:00-1:00	Lunch (provided) and Software Optimization Challenge judged
1:00-2:00	Hotseat Challenge implementation
2:00-3:00	Hotseat Challenge judged

Friday, March 30, 2012

The awards will be distributed at the SLVSEF Ceremony at East High School on Friday, March 30th, 2012 at the East High School Auditorium (http://g.co/maps/6uxtz).
